Hi Folks, here we go again,
well us Rotherlands have been and plan to be pretty active over the next few months. A bit of what we have been up to first. At the end of January Eric drove Rodders and his mate Shaun and myself up to the Excel centre for the MCN Show. Between us we managed to pick up a few bargains. Good to see the Triumph stand their this year, bumped into Richie up their too, cheers Eric for driving.
Bob and BSA Matt survived the Artic conditions and enjoyed their trip to Wales for the Dragon Rally. Looking at some of the photos it looked dam cold, Bob did admit to leaving his motorcycle gear on for whole weekend.
The Black Horse meeting that was planned for 18th Feb was brought forward to 11th as the 18th was the only night the Harley club could meet for our annual bowling event at Ravenside Bexhill,last year the harley`s took home the trophy, but i am glad to say Rother TOMCC took the trophy home at the end of the evening. It was a great night and well attended by both clubs. thanks Rod for organising that one.
The Black Horse meeting was also well attended, with plenty of planning for future events and activities .including our Rabbit Rally 10th-12th July. Clive has booked the two bands, Jazz Funk Fusion bands Copperhead and Misdemeanour. My mate at the Rother Valley Brewery has offered to brew a special ale for the rally, looking forward sampling that.
On March 6th several of our branch were planning to go to the Kings Head Udimore for a Fish n chips supper. A few of us went their back in November and enjoyed it so we decided to have another go. Yes it will involve beer. Whilst on their holiday in Norwich, Tiny and Chris were planning to meet up with some of their mates from the Norfolk Branch. It may look like we give old Tiny bad Press sometimes but we love him really. On 22nd March its the 71st London to Brighton Pioneer Run. Some of us will be going to watch them come down on route.
Other events coming up are, 3rd-5th April The Custom Motor Show at Farnborough. 23rd April the Robin Hood are holding their Medieval Banquet excellent food guaranteed, you won`t go home hungry.
On 24th-26th April Rod, Eric, Brian and Bob are off to Wales with the Rats for the Welsh Dragon Raid in Pembroke.
Well for years down here in Rother we have been trying to get a Website up and running with out success. All that has changed now cos its up and running, huge big thankyou to Airbrush Andy our new recruit from Beckley. On his first visit to the branch he said he had trouble getting on to our website, we said so do we,cos we ant got one.
