Hi folks,
first and foremost i must just correct a mistake i made in my last report, our RABBIT RALLY date is not 10th/12th July but in fact 8th/10th July, sorry for any stress i may have caused but i just wanted to see if anyone did actually take note of my report,
I am pleased to report that on 29th Jan 34 of us made it to the Robin Hood for our re-arranged xmas meal, no snow this time, Sue and team done us proud yet again, well done Rod for doing the raffle, a very enjoyable evening was had by all, you can see some photo`s of that evening on our website.
The following week on 5th Feb 23 members and friends had an excellent day out up at the MCN Motorcycle Show, our social events co-ordinator Rod arranged for us to go up by mini bus starting the day by meeting at the Robin where Carly very kindly done us breakfast before we set off, after a day of drooling over the new motor bikes and picking up some bargains and some of us caught on camra drooling over the show girls we returned to the Robin for fish n chips and some fine ales, a fantastic day out, it was good to go up in a group, thanks Rod for booking it all up, looking forward to the next one.
On 9th Feb we had our first branch meeting of the year at the Old Courthouse, the meeting was very well attended, plans are well under way for this years RABBIT RALLY (which incidentally is on 8th/10th July), these meetings gives members the chance to discuss events that are coming up and see if others might be interested in doing, also gives Airbrush something to put on our Website.
It was discussed that maybe later in the year we might go as a branch either over to France or IOW for the weekend, Rod was going to get some prices and see what sort of interest there was.
Richie is planning for our branch to have a club photo shoot on the Saturday afternoon of the RABBIT RALLY with as many Rother members and their machines in attendance as possible, members will be reminded nearer the time, just thought i would give you a bit of warning so you can start polishing your bikes now.
Our annual ten pin bowling match against the Harley Boys and Girls is on Tuesday 22nd March, ( they can`t do Wednesdays ) will the trophy be coming home with us i wonder ?
Remember to keep a check on our website for up and coming events, lets hope by now we are getting some decent riding weather so we can start blowing the cobwebs of our bikes.
