Branch Report
Aug 2010
(as seen in Nacelle)

Hi Folks, Back in May some of the club took part in another Clay pigeon shoot just out side Northiam, and congratulations to BSA Matt on reclaiming his Title of the Rother Hotshot, after a very close shoot out amongst some very much improved shooters from the club Matt on his very last shot took the title, well done mate, and well done Bob and Rodders for organising that one. Clive led the pack on our second club night ride out of the season on 26th May, not such a big pack as the first ride out but Bob, Alex, Airbrush Andy, Matt and Roger had a very enjoyable ride and ending up at The Swan in Wittersham for refreshments, while there they met Rods mate on his MV, sounded very nice as he left the car park it was reported. The Norseman MCC had a very successful Poker Rally 4th/6th June and many of our branch were in attendance at the rally and joined in on the Poker Run, this was the first year i was able to make it, the weather was nice and sunny and i manage to persuade Mandy to come on the back ( actually i kept it quiet from the kids so Mandy was able to come on the back) we really enjoyed it and went round the route with Mike, Bob and Alex, Ice creams on Beachy Head and pub lunch at The Six Bells Chiddingly very good, It was decided by our lot that Airbrush Andy`s Kosmic Dogs were the most popular band of the rally, Thankyou to the club members who assisted with putting the marquee up and down for that weekend.
The following Wednesday we had our pre-rally meeting at The Old Courthouse, which was well attended, welcome to a new member Chris from Hailsham, ( our French liaison officer Pete , Matt and Andy S had their own meeting at the Robin, brake down in communication there i think, never mind Carly was please to see you., ) That night also BSA Matt took Debbie who was celebrating yet another birthday for a surprise night out, not to the Robin but too the Old courthouse, what a surprise Debbie, never mind at least you were able to volunteer for the treasure hunt, Ha ha. The next Old Courthouse meeting is planned for 1st September.
On 9th June Clive, Alex, Bob and Roger took a ride up to the Ace Cafe for the Triumph Day, it was a tad on the cold side they said but never less enjoyed themselves. Bob, Alex, Mike, Roger and Hailsham Chris on his very nice looking old Bonnie went over to Charring nr Ashford on 17th June for the British Bike Night, enjoyed not only the amount of old bikes that were there but also meeting up with members from other branches etc.
By the time you read this the Rabbit Rally would have been and gone, lets hope it was a successful one, alot of work went into making it happen by many of us, i will report next time on that.
Coming up on the events lists is 28th July club ride out to the May Garland ( were the hell is that you ask, just follow Clive)
and on 31st July there is classic bike racing over at Lydden.
Check club Website for more information etc.
That will do for this one, get out on those bikes when you can
