Hi Folks, Hope you all had a good xmas and celebrated the new year in, hopefully it did not take you too long to recover.
Back in December Rod, Brian, Eric and Andy S made it up to the Bike Show and enjoyed themselves looking at all the new models and picking up the usual bargains. Jane went up with them but chose to spend the day looking around the shops in Birmingham (who wants to look at all those bikes anyway, they all look the same).
Congratulations to Rodders on his retirement. looking forward to celebrating with him at his party on 15th January. Airbrush Andy and his Kosmic Dogs will be performing, should be good.
Talking of celebrating, some of us helped Clive celebrate his 50th down at the Marina Fountain on Saturday 5th December, We were entertained by Airbrush and his Kosmics, they play at all the good places. In February Matt F is celebrating his 40th down at the Fountain, not quite sure of the date but i am sure we will find out.
Our Rotherlite Xmas meal was on 11th December and was very well attended. There were some 30 of us enjoying the fine food excellently prepared for us by Sue and her team at the Robin, thankyou to them. Hope there was not too much mess to clear up, i think Tiny thought he was back at school, still being on the rather large size he does make an easy target to return the ammio, a good time was had by all.
Don`t forget we will be having an official Branch meeting on the 10th February at the Roin Hood to discuss various events etc, the main one being this years RABBIT RALLY. So if you have got any ideas for social events or ride outs we as a branch could do bring them along to the meeting. Last year was one of the busiest years we have had with all those ride outs and social events so we want to better that if we can, we need to keep Airbrush busy with the clubs`s website and give him something to fill up the events list.
Rod said he will be getting in touch with the harley mob about our annual ten pin bowling match down at Ravenside, we won last time we met, so they will be out for revenge, that's normally in March sometime (check website for updates)
Some of us hope to make it up to the MCN motorcycle show at the excel, London on 4th-7th February. Its usually a good day out.
well that about it for this one. Keep it upright.
