Hi Folks, Well what have we been upto in Rotherland? I have been scratching around trying to find something to report.
This is what I have come up with, what we did, 23 of us enjoyed our Chinese meal at You's back in October, well done Rod for organising that one. We had a good turnout at our Black Horse meeting on 29th October. We now have a date for the 2009 Rabbit Rally, 10th / 11th July. Talking of the Rabbit Rally, if you have not done so could the Bexley member that had the trophy for the best club turnout in 2007 return it to our Branch Secretary as Worlds End won it at our 2008 Rally and we have promised them the trophy, thank you.
Seven of us met up at the Kings Heads in Udimore on the 21st November for their fish 'n' chips supper, excellent food 'n' beer as always. The Branch AGM was held at The Robin Hood on 26th November, report will follow (might be a new club scribe). What we plan to do, some of our members were going up to the NEC for the bike show end of November. On Saturday 6th December some of our branch were hoping to join up with the Sovereign Motorcycle Club for their 14th Christmas Toy Run. Our branch Christmas meal night night have been eaten by the time you read this; no doubt it would have been enjoyed by those who attended. The Robin Hood always do us proud; thanks to Sue and team.
After 15th December I shouldn't be going around with that chip on my shoulder 'cos they are going take it off at long last, my boss have given me six weeks off, (hang on a minute, I am the boss!) Some of our branch will be going to the MCN London Motorcycle Show 29th January - 1st February.
Well that's about it for this one apart from wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with plenty of safe riding , and remember: the grass may be greener on the other side but it's just as hard to cut.
