Branch Report
July 2010
(as seen in Nacelle)

Hi Folks,
I am please to report our first club night ride out of the season was very well attended on 28th April, with 15 of us following Clive and covering some 45+ miles from Johns Cross and ending up at the Blackboys pub in Blackboys for refreshments, we had a chap pull up on a BMW at our meeting place and asked if we would mind if he joined us, Bob said we don`t care who comes along we are a friendly bunch, well done Clive for that one.
Some of our members were out and about on the May Day run, the weather was mainly dry just a few showers, still a very good turnout of bikes on Hastings seafront, i chose to walk down to the sea front with Nick and view the bikes from the terrace of the White Rock Hotel, good view point and the beer was good too, Mandy joined us after she finished work and Matt and Debbie found us too. very enjoyable afternoon.
On Saturday 15th May Hastings Rock Radio had their benefit Gig down at the Venue in George Street and some of our members were in attendance, Airbrush Andy and his Kosmic Dogs were one of the bands performing.
Rod, Eric, Brian and Ed have been on their travels again, they went up to Lincolnshire for the TOMCC Rally 7th-9th May and had a really good time, one of the highlights being the visit to the B.of B. Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, after that weekend they went over to the Lake District and spent a few days blasting around on their as Eric puts it the old sh*tters, Eric has some good photos and interesting videos of their trip, especially one of Rod wearing an unusual item of clothing, when he removed his trousers he resembled a tadpole, whilst there they managed a trip round Jennings brewery, well worth a visit if your up that way. Then on the Friday of that week made their way over to Peterborough for the BMF show where they proudly had their old bikes on display, Rod said i should have gone with them as there was speedway on the friday night and saturday afternoon, i try and make it next time mate.
If all goes to plan Bob, Clive, Mike and Myself will be off on our travels on 24th June heading in the direction of the Lake District, stopping at Derby on the Thursday night then across the Peak District, two night up at Patterdale with the Rats for the Midsummer Bash, then making our way back on the Sunday via Yorkshire, taking in a aviation museum on our way to our Sunday night stop just below Lincoln, returning home on the Monday, all sounds good just hope the weather is.
That same weekend Rod and Eric are off again, this time to foreign parts, Newchurch Austria for the Triumph Tridays 2010.
Eric managed to book them into a 4* hotel in the name off Mr & Mrs ecrod zuttersmithz,
Following that weekend on Wednesday 30th June meeting at Johns Cross 7.30pm Clive will be taking us on a mystery tour ending up at a Fish n chip shop for our supper.
Its getting nearer, 2010 RABBIT RALLY celebrating our Rother Branches 30th year, 9th-11th July, Its building up to be a cracking weekend, you can buy your advance tickets on line just visit our website www.rothertriumphmcc.co.uk.
On 14th July some of us are planning a trip up to The White Hart at Cuxton visiting our brothers and sisters in the Medway Branch, meeting up at our usual place at Johns Cross 7.30pm.
18th July over at Hamstreet its the Bike Jumble and Classic Bike show.
