Branch Report
June 2010
(as seen in Nacelle)

Hi Folks,
Well what have us rotherlites been up too since last time then? We had our Bowling match with the harley boys and girls down at Ravinside on 31st March, pleased to report we came a very close second. well we did win it last year and as i always say after watching the Eastbourne Eagles speedway team lost yet another match "you can`t win them all", and we don`t, still it was a very good evening, well attended by our branch, anyway we did sort of win because we lent them our star bowler Clive to make up the numbers for them, had we of kept him on our team i am sure things would have been different, we`ll get them next time i am sure.
Some of our branch made it over to Ashford on 5th April for the Classic Motorcycle Show.
We had our second official club meeting of the year at The Old Courthouse Westfield on 14th April and as before it was very well attended, the main topic was this years RABBIT RALLEY 9th-11th July, pleased to report everything is coming together with many members helping out with various jobs etc, (was that right i am to wrestle a bear with a pair of rother underpants on? or was it me wearing the underpants?) Andy and his Kosmic Dogs will be entertaining us on the Friday night, and Dirty Scarclet playing on the Saturday night, with a BBQ on the Friday evening and on the Saturday morning Clive will be taking us on one of his Magical mystery tours, we`ve even booked fine weather with brilliant sunshine so order your advanced tickets now !
We have even ordered special limited edition t-shirts celebrating Rother branches 30th year, Debbie can`t wait to add one to her collection, she was even modelling last years rally shirt at the Old Courthouse. (so was Matt but it looked better on Debbie)
On behalf of our branch i would just like to wish one of our members Em a speedy recovery from her op.
As this report was on its way to the press many of us were looking forward to the annual Medieval night at The Robin Hood celebrating St George`s Day on 23th April, always a very good evening with excellent food and great ales, Roger was gutted to miss it this year as he was not due home from his holiday till the next day, never mind mate we did think of you.
Events coming up 16th May over at Hamstreet it the Bike jumble and Classic bike Show, 26th May Wednesday club night run meeting at Johns Cross 7.30pm destination The Swan at Wittersham. 4th-6th the Noresmen Poker run and rally, same weekend Tiny will be with his Tinkers at the Tinkers park steam show at Hadlow Down, 13th June Ace Cafe Triumph Day,
Well that's it for this one, and remember its a lot less bother with a rother.
