Hi folks, i got it wrong in the last report, i am afraid i can`t be right all of the time, it appears old Matty boy celebrated his 40th birthday on 13th Jan not in February, and his party was planned for 30th Jan down at the Marina Fountain were Kosmic Andy and his Airbrush Dogs were performing, hopefully it all went to plan, Life begins at forty so watch out matt`s about.
Many of us Rotherlites attended Rodders retirement party, excellent evening, a good time was had by all, we were well entertained by the Airy dogs and andy cosmics, (that does not look quite right), we were even given party poppers and noisy balloons to play with, which helped to entertain us kids.
By the time you read this one we would have had our first official club meeting at the Old Courthouse in Westfield, hopefully it was successful, unfortunately i have to write these`s reports a month earlier and sometimes the plans change for events afterwards, so always check our website for up dates if you can.
At that meeting hopefully we have made a good start in filling our events calendar up, and plans are in motion for this years RABBIT RALLY which is 9th-11th July.
Congratulations to Eric on your new employment, its good to hear they are still prepared to take on the over sixties, hope all goes well mate.
At the beginning of February BSA Matt and Bob were planning to do their annual trip to Wales for the Dragon rally, hopefully they made there and back ok, i will report about it next time.
Talking of rallies, Brian, Eric, Rod and Ed are planning to represent our branch at the 2010 TOMCC rally up in Lincolnshire 7th-9th May, afterwards spending a few days blasting round the Lake District then making their way down to Peterborough for the following weekends BMF Show at the Showground. Then at the end of June Eric and Rodders are off again, this time over to Newchuch in Austria for the Trydays, busy chaps.
That same weekend hopefully some of us will be up in the Lake district for the Midsummer Bash with the Rats, it was a really good event last year when Bob, Clive, Mike and myself went up.
Lets hope by now we are getting some decent weather and can start thinking about getting the cobwebs off our bikes and introduce them to some fresh air again.
Thats about it for this one.
