Hi Folks,
Just like to say how fresh looking and reader friendly the January's Nacelle was, just unfortunate that my report was not in it, but for those of you that wanted to see what I had scribbled all the reports get put on our website www.rothertriumphmcc.co.uk.
I said last time BSA Matt rides his bike no matter what it’s doing outside, well he’s had to give riding the bike a rest for a while. Just before the New Year was upon us he parted company with his machine, he said he was doing a ton twenty coming round a bend when a car pulled out of a parking space just as he turned the corner. Luckily not much damage to the bike, and not much to Matt just a broken thumb. When Matt went to A&E he had to have it pinned back. Hopefully by now mate it’s a lot better.
Our chairman Mike the Bike was very pleased to report on New Years day he managed to take both his bikes out for a ride and it did not stop there, two days later he was on his bonnie joining me on a trip to Billingshurst, then onto Ditching Beacon stopping at my god mothers next to Plimpton College for refreshments and some free range eggs of which she was adamant that Mike was going to get half a dozen eggs rammed in his jacket pocket. Luckily he got them home in one piece and not scrambled. Excellent ride out, Just a tad on the cold side with light snow falling on our arrival in Billingshurst which probably explained the numbness in the finger regions.
I reported previously that as not all of us made it to the Robin Hood for the clubs xmas meal and that Rodders would be arranging another one, well he did, thirty six or so of us as I write this were booked at the Robin on the 29th Jan, lets hope this time we all managed to get there.
He also had a 24 seater mini-bus for a load of us to attend the MCN motorcycle show at the Excel on the 5th Feb, also on the 25th February he has booked for us to have another meal out, this time at Azurs on St. Leonards seafront. Possibly in March we’ll have out annual ten pin bowling match against the Harley boys and girls. Thanks Rodders for all the organising , it’s good to keep doing things as a branch in the winter and also gives us a chance to bring our lovely ladies along too (creep).
Clive will be sorting out some club night ride outs soon so if you have any suggestions on anywhere we could go, let him know.
For those other Branches that are thinking of places to visit or rallies to attend this year, come down to our Rabbit Rally on 8th/10th July, always a fun filled weekend.
Just received my February’s Nacelle and that looks even better, and its got my report in it.
Well that’s it for this one.
