Branch Report
September 2011
(as seen in Nacelle)

Hi Folks, Since the last report we have had our Rabbit Rally which i am please to say was another successful one (see separate article)
If we were to be giving out an award for the longest distance travelling Rother member on a motorbike (not in an airplane Rodders) it would have to go to Hedgehog Dave who rode over to Belgium for a Rally then traveled on a road trip to Greece for two weeks, looking forward to hearing all about that one.
On Tuesday 19th July Mike and Bob rode up to the Prince of Wales Pub on the Morden road London for the Mighty South London Bike Show and had a very enjoyable evening, especially Mike cos he came away with the best Hinkley Triumph award for his red, twin pipe Thunderbird Sport and also won a raffle prize (if only he had brought a lottery ticket that night ) They both said it was well worth the trip and recommend a few more of us make the effort next year. The next day was our Club night ride out, the weather was a tad on the damp side so numbers were down a bit but Clive led the pack and ended up at the Six Bells Chiddingly. Eric, Rod and Mike represented Rother in Anglesey Wales for the Trident & Rocket 3 Owners Club Beezumph 20, Mike said they rode up through Wales, round the bottom of Mt Snowdon through mist and low cloud, it rained for about an hour but it was a perfect weekend after that with T150 and T160 triples going round the track plus lots of classics, brilliant atmosphere with a good restaurant and bar at the site, they had a very enjoyable ride out on the Saturday afternoon with some lovely twisty roads and fantastic views, sounded like they had a good time.
In my last report i said we were having a meal at the Robin Hood 29th July well that did not happen, the date changed to Fri 12th August as Rod, Eric and Mike were away enjoying themselves in Wales, so hopefully we made it on the 12th.
Coming up we have run out to blackboys on 7th Sept, its the Brighton Burn up 11th Sept and the Romney Marsh Bike jumble at Hamstreet 18th Sept.
Thats about it for this one,so get out on those bike`s before the summer goes.
